07-22-2026 : didnt get up to much during the day. bought redbull and washed my hair. threw away some garbage. took myself on a little date at night - got froyo and pizza and hung out outside for a while. much needed.
07-21-2026 : cleaned my apartment some. then yoga. then played my guitar.
07-20-2026 : nothing all day, watched the odyssey with some friends at night. giving it a 6/10 -- i was entertained the whole time because the odyssey is a great story and the shots were beautiful and robert pattinson is stupid fine but the writing was BAD and the celebrities were DISTRACTING!
07-19-2026 : worked register all day again. second day was much easier. that was really all.
07-18-2026 : worked burgerfest -- they put me on register which was surprising but i made it happen.
07-17-2026 : burgerfest cancelled due to air quality. went to my friends birthday dinner instead! shot of mezcal made me throw up all over myself at the restaurant bar but i had a napkin on my lap and simply threw it away in the bathroom don't tell anyone!
07-16-2026 : nothing of note. bought shoes online
07-15-2026 : nothing of note.
07-14-2026 : ugh changed my dressing today and it was stuck to my skin. ouch! i think its healing ok though. another house day today -- skipped yoga which isnt great but i didnt wanna put too much pressure on my foot. did get some of my pile dealt with! more tomorrow maybe. watched sooooo much veep also.
07-13-2026 : stayed in the house most of the day besides a quick walgreens run for some wound dressing.
07-12-2026 : got coffee with a friend and went to the beach with another friend. went to said beach in a full kaftan and rainboots due to my foot (i didnt want weird tan lines from a bathing suit with rainboots). afterwards got home and fell asleep by 7 and was out for the rest of the day.
07-11-2026 : smoothies and bite to eat with my sister before hot yoga. i struggled! on my way home i completely ate shit and fucked up my foot pretty bad. cleaned it up then went to go see the invite with my sister, which i thought was very funny. followed by pizza with a friend which was delicious.
07-10-2026 : woke up very hung over from the screwdrivers. pulled it together for yacht party and free drinks all day on a law firm's expense account. got saganaki and set the fire alarm off at the bar.
07-09-2026 : went to my sisters work for free lunch. picked up yellow eyeshadow from ulta. then got fries and mussels with a friend and got wasted off screwdrivers! watched youtube videos and shot the shit about high school.
07-08-2026 : did a load of laundry and tidied up a bit. washed my hair, too.
07-07-2026 : ANOTHER lazy day then yoga with my sister, pizza and fro-yo.
07-06-2026 : so lazy today too. saw maddie's secret and drank with my sister and a couple friends. thought the movie was pretty good (with caveats) and very funny. missed someone i shouldn't miss.
07-05-2026 : extremely lowkey day. have gotten very little done beyond playing my guitar and a 30 minute walk to collect some leftover party supplies. starting feels impossible. have been metabolizing something david said to me at swing night about notes and music re: steps and dancing when i asked his advice on signing up for dance classes. i stopped dancing when i was like 13 because i was never so good at following choreography. learning in the field is going somewhat better for me.
07-04-2026 : recovery day. lounged in my apartment during the day and went out to the lake to see fireworks with a friend. told her every humiliating detail about a personal situation i'm going through. i learned recently that a lot of people don't do this? like they'll hold things back so that it's less embarassing when you inevitably make the same bad choice again in the future. it never occurred to me that that was an option. anyway there was so much fog the horizon was fucking gone so the lake and the sky were just one big grey thing. the fireworks barely reflected off the water and in the sky it was like watching through a film of vaseline. so blurry. it was like a war movie.
07-03-2026 : my half birthday party! started off picking up some shoes from the fluevog store with my sister - she got a really great pair of heels and i tried a couple on too but left empty-handed. made a quick stop at the bank, then got ready at home and headed to my friends house because they graciously agreed to host the party for me (my studio too small!). had a lot of fun with all my friends!! i made pizza for everyone, and bought ice cream too but we forgot about it so its still in my friends freezer. ended the night at the bar (naturally).
07-02-2026 : spent most of the day watching tv in my pajamas. then happy hour (tried asparagus! not into it) + night market (purchased nothing!) with a couple friends, followed by swing dancing. sweat through my clothes again. rained HARD on the way home. made it back before midnight-- honestly could have kept dancing but i have a long day ahead of me tomorrow.
07-01-2026 : helped a friend move in the am. sweat through my clothes. napped in the afternoon. drinks and karaoke with a different friend at night! i sang blondie call me.
06-30-2026 : rested during day. saw of montreal with my sister and a few friends at night. enjoyed an excellent steak quesadilla at the bar immediately prior. had a lot of fun dancing at the show even though the ac at thalia hall was dripping on us the whole time.
06-29-2026 : beach in the afternoon. brief intermission to handle some personal business. drinks at night!
06-28-2026 : long but good day. got mid biscuits and fantastic italian ice with my friend. walked and talked and found a yard sale. got a pair of audio technica ath-mx20s for $10, and some good advice on a recently arisen personal situation for free. sheparded a lost teenager to her correct bus stop. my sister put me on to frasier. done catsitting, back to sleeping in my own bed. mixed feelings about that. still anticipating little time to get my affairs in order -- many social engagements ahead. good problems to have!
06-27-2026 : went up to wisconsin for the day with a friend. bought a jade bangle at the antique mall in milwaulkee and now i ring like a bell everywhere i go. back in chi by 7:30 for pizza with a college friend who was in from out of town - talked maine politics + his wedding coming up in august. got to take all the leftover pizza home because his flight is at 5am sunday. lucky me!
06-24-2026 : painted during the day. hopped on a phone call with some old friends to shoot the shit about the good old days. watched footage of some old shows we put together in the park, did our best to remember names of old people and house venues. then went to the bar with a friend, then swing dancing, then another bar where we ran into a couple of her other friends, then everyone to the 24hr diner for breakfast food and strawberry milkshakes.
